The Department of Correctional Services (DCS) has announced seven (X7) exciting Vetting Administrator vacancies at its National Head Office under the Directorate: Security Standards and Management. Salary Package: R325 101 per annum (Level 8)

Position Overview

The Department of Correctional Services Vetting Administrator role plays a critical part in maintaining and upholding the integrity of the Department’s security standards. Successful candidates will provide efficient administrative support, manage sensitive documentation, and liaise closely with the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) on matters relating to vetting systems and processes. This role demands reliability, discretion, and excellent organizational skills.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

  • Educational Qualification: Recognized degree/diploma in Administration or Secretarial Functions.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience in rendering support and administrative services.
  • Skills: Strong computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities

As a Vetting Administrator, your daily duties will include:

Coordinating and managing resources effectively within the directorate.

Managing and maintaining the filing system for all departmental documents.

Providing comprehensive administrative support services to the unit.

Assisting the Head of Unit and staff during vetting operational meetings.

Liaising with the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) on vetting matters to ensure smooth administrative processes.
